01Who we are

TrendShort is operated by Brice Mourlon, a sole trader registered in France (SIRET 890 744 212 00014). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@trendshort.app.

02What data we collect

• Account data: your email address and password (hashed) when you register, or your Google profile (name, email, profile picture) if you sign in with Google.
• Workspace data: the YouTube channels you choose to track and the public metadata of their Shorts (title, channel, views, duration, thumbnail).
• Usage data: analyses and script plans you generate, subscription status, and feature usage.
• Billing data: payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type and the strictly necessary session cookie.

03Google Sign-In

If you sign in with Google, the information we receive (name, email, profile picture) is used only to create and manage your account and to authenticate you. TrendShort does not sell Google user data, does not use it for advertising, and does not share it with third parties other than the service providers needed to run the app. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

04How we use your data

• provide, operate and improve TrendShort;
• import channel data and generate analyses and script plans;
• process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe;
• enforce quotas and prevent abuse;
• send transactional emails (sign-in links, account and billing notices). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

05Third-party service providers

We rely on a small set of processors, each for a specific function:

• Supabase — authentication, database and hosting of your account data;
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management;
• Google — Google Sign-In, and the Gemini API used to analyze Shorts and generate script plans;
• YouTube Data API v3 — importing the public data of the channels you track;
• Inngest — running scheduled and background jobs (imports, analyses, digests);
• Infomaniak — application hosting.

TrendShort uses no advertising network and no third-party tracking analytics.

06Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, the associated data (tracked channels, analyses, script plans, profile) is permanently deleted within 30 days, except where we must keep certain records (e.g. invoices) to meet legal obligations.

07Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, port or erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Email hello@trendshort.app and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL, cnil.fr).

08Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies — an authentication cookie that keeps you signed in. Your light/dark theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. See our Cookie policy for details.

09Security

Passwords are hashed, all data is transmitted over HTTPS, and access to your data is protected by row-level security policies in the database. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

10Children

TrendShort is not directed at children under 13 (16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

11Changes to this policy

Material changes are communicated by email or by a notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
